We’re proud to announce that The Woodlands, our skilled nursing facility, has received a deficiency-free survey from the state’s Department of Inspections, Appeals, and Licensing (DIAL). This outstanding achievement reflects the hard work and dedication of our entire team, who are committed to providing exceptional care to our residents every day.
The state’s inspection was unannounced and took place over three days. During this time, three state surveyors conducted a thorough review, which included examining documents, interviewing staff and residents, and observing daily care routines. After this detailed evaluation, the surveyors found no deficiencies—a rare accomplishment in the industry—and praised The Woodlands team for their professionalism, teamwork, and compassionate approach to resident care.

“This is an incredible accomplishment for our team, and it speaks volumes about their dedication and the exceptional care provided every day,” said Kathy Horan, Meth-Wick’s Chief Executive Officer. “Having state surveyors recognize the passion and professionalism of our staff is truly rewarding.”
State surveys are conducted annually to ensure that nursing homes meet rigorous health and safety standards. Earning a deficiency-free rating underscores The Woodlands’ commitment to excellence, not only in meeting these standards but in going above and beyond to create a supportive and compassionate environment for our residents.
“Our staff’s ability to deliver such high-quality care while creating a warm and supportive environment is something we’re extremely proud of,” Horan added. “This recognition confirms that The Woodlands is a place where residents receive not only expert care but also genuine compassion.”
At The Woodlands, we remain committed to continuing our tradition of excellence in care, ensuring our residents feel supported, valued, and cared for every day.
