Legacy Gifts

Meth-Wick Community would also like to acknowledge those individuals who have given through a Legacy Gift:

  • The William P. Whipple Legacy
    William Whipple left a lasting legacy to Meth-Wick Community. Our portion is part of a larger Whipple gift, through the William P. & Gayle S. Whipple Endowed Designated Fund, invested with the Greater Cedar Rapids Community Foundation, along with nine other area beneficiaries.William Whipple’s gift, not only to Meth-Wick Community but also to the Cedar Rapids community area, will continue to grow and benefit the Linn County area for many years.Meth-Wick will receive an annual distribution from GCRCF. The actual distribution amount will vary from year to year. The gift will be used toward free and discounted care on our campus.
  • The Mary A. Koehler Legacy
    Meth-Wick Community recently received the final distribution from the Mary A. Koehler estate. This gift of $143,000.00 has been placed in a special Future Capital Improvements fund. Mary’s overall legacy to The Meth-Wick Community includes a gift of $1,061,008.00 which was placed in the Future Capital Improvements fund; $500,000.00 to the Live. Laugh. Learn. Town Center Capital Campaign; and $390,154.00 to the Wick Endowment Fund.
  • The Mary Grace Peters Legacy
    Mary Grace’s gift of $15,000.00 was bequeathed to the Wick Endowment Fund. Mary Grace lived at Deer Ridge–she was a resident there from 1997 to December 2007.
