It’s Time To Rejuvenate!

It’s Time To Rejuvenate!

Meth-Wick Community built a skilled nursing facility, The Woodlands, in 2000. Over the last 14 years, the healthcare landscape has changed and we want to lead the way with a commitment to making The Woodlands feel like home to its residents and their families. To do this, we need to update The Woodlands.

The Rejuvenate campaign is a $5 million dollar project that will bring additional physical therapy space, therapy gardens and walkways, as well as the only HydroWorx therapy pools in a healthcare environment within a 75-mile radius of Cedar Rapids.

Part of Rejuvenating The Woodlands includes:

  • Accessible kitchen areas in each neighborhood for use by residents and their family and friends
  • Modern, spa-like bathing facilities
  • Repurposed common areas for wellness and recreation
  • Conversion of five resident rooms to short-term stay rooms to meet increased demands of the new therapy facility
  • Conversion of three rooms for the care of bariatric residents

Board member and campaign chair Dick Johnson is most excited about therapy pools being brought to The Woodlands. “These pools will not only help the residents with their therapy needs but also anyone in the community will have access to them if they need therapy after a hip or knee surgery.”

Johnson adds, “Some other great news is that we are at about $3.5 million in donations so far. We are very pleased with what we’ve accomplished and hope that the community will continue to be involved as the campaign continues.”

There are several ways you can donate to Rejuvenate The Woodlands to help reach the $5 million goal:
