As our President and CEO, Robin Mixdorf, nears her retirement, we’re pleased to announce a special opportunity to honor Robin and her visionary tenure at Meth-Wick Community over the past 25 years.
Since joining Meth-Wick in 1999, Robin has exemplified unwavering dedication to our residents, staff, families, and older adults in our community. Under her leadership, Meth-Wick has experienced significant growth and transformation, including expanded services, new construction projects, and enhancements to our campus and amenities. These advancements have positioned us as a standout among LifePlan communities. Robin’s community engagement also extends beyond Meth-Wick, where she has served on local boards focusing on healthcare and mental health organizations, including the American Heart Association’s Go Red for Women Leadership Team, UnityPoint, Horizons, and Abbe Health Inc.

Robin’s exceptional accomplishments at Meth-Wick and her involvement on healthcare organization boards underscores her commitment to advancing the well-being of older adults. To carry on Robin’s legacy at Meth-Wick, we’ve created a special fund in her name that will support the upcoming UnityPoint Health Clinic. The project, which will bring a UnityPoint clinic to Meth-Wick’s campus, has long been championed by Robin as it will make healthcare even more accessible for Meth-Wick residents. Any surplus funds collected will be allocated to two education funds—the Vance J. Coleman Nursing Continuing Education Fund (VJC) and the Funding Our Future Non-Healthcare Education Endowment (FOF).
We invite you to join us in recognizing Robin and her 25 years of dedication to Meth-Wick by donating to this special fund. You can do so using our online form via PayPal: Charitable Giving Form, or by contacting Amber Jedlicka at [email protected] or 319-297-8603.
Thank you for your support in helping us recognize Robin in a way that highlights her legacy of leadership.
