There’s no shame in asking for help. Our bodies change with age and, at a certain point, it gets a little harder to reach the top shelf in the pantry or undo the buttons on your favorite shirt. That’s why we offer assisted living for our resident’s physical needs. We believe that with a few modifications to your routine, you can keep living the life you love.
At Meth-Wick Community, assisted living for physical needs is available at Custom Care. Custom Care is a selection of health care amenities provided in apartments on the fourth floor at The Manor, a space certified by the state of Iowa for assisted living. It’s offered to seniors who can no longer live independently, yet are not in need of the memory care provided at Arbor Place or full-time nursing care provided at The Woodlands.
Custom Care services include medication coordination, help with grooming and dressing, meals, personal laundry and bedding, and even mail and newspaper delivery to your apartment. There’s no need to seek out nursing care if you just need a little bit of help getting ready in the morning. That “little bit of help” is exactly what Custom Care is here to provide.
Along with high-quality care comes a variety of helpful services at The Manor. The staff provides laundry services and takes care of weekly housekeeping. Residents can take courtesy rides in a chauffeur-driven car, work out on senior-friendly exercise machines, and relax in the reading room. No matter their interests or abilities, our residents are able to live their best lives at Meth-Wick as part of a vibrant senior living community.
The Manor is a multi-residence building, providing the privacy of your own home with fellowship right outside your door. Residents are offered convenient services like housekeeping, weekly laundry and phone operator assistance are included in the monthly fee. An overnight security staff and campus nurse are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, to provide residents with peace of mind in their new apartments.
