Respite care provides short-term, temporary relief for caregivers who may at times feel overwhelmed.

The caregiver can take care of himself/herself, knowing that Meth-Wick’s staff is providing their family member with the assisted living or skilled nursing care they need. This short break helps the caregiver find balance in their life, enabling them to take a trip, go to the doctor, etc.

While benefitting the caregiver, Respite Care also provides a change of scenery for the person receiving care. They receive assistance with daily personal tasks like grooming and health-related tasks such as eye drops and post-surgical care. Respite Care can also serve as a trial run for someone who is considering a move to Meth-Wick and will need some type of assistance with daily living.
