Independence Plus: An Explanation

Independence Plus: An Explanation

As a Life Plan Community, Meth-Wick is designed to change with you as your goals evolve. Today, you’re on the move. But in a few years, you might need some help getting things done around the house. That’s where Independence Plus comes in.

Independence Plus at
The Manor is an independent living option on Meth-Wick’s campus that takes the hassle out of owning a home while still allowing you to maintain your independence.

To be clear, Independence Plus is not nursing care or assisted living. It’s for people who are intent on and fully capable of living on their own but recognize they could use a little support around the house or with their daily tasks. There’s no shame is asking for help and that’s just what Independence Plus provides

We offer a full spectrum of home upkeep features from maintenance on your appliances and heating/cooling systems to weekly housekeeping and a laundry service. Enjoy courtesy rides in Meth-Wick’s chauffer-driven car or intra-campus transportation system.

Hungry? Residents can enjoy meals in The Manor dining room in addition to meals prepared in their own kitchens. You could use the minimum dining option or, if you don’t like to cook, eat up to three meals a day in our dining room.

When it comes to floor plans, residents can choose from spacious one or two bedroom apartments depending on their needs. Each residence comes furnished with a refrigerator, stove and microwave.

The Meth-Wick campus has eight different neighborhoods or living facilities but the Manor, where Independence Plus residents call home, is at the center of it all. On the ground floor of the Manor is Town Center, the 14,000 square foot social hub for our community. It includes a coffee shop, senior-friendly workout center, library, billiards room, chapel and gift shop. Many of our social and recreational events take place in the Manor, where you will be in the center of the action.

You know what kind of life you want to live. Independence Plus can help you make it happen. If this sounds like the right style of living for you or your loved one, contact Kris Kuester at lifestyles@methwick.org or call Meth-Wick at (319) 365-9171.
